About Myers Riley Motorsports

Myers Riley Motorsports is one of several Ford Mustang GT3 customer teams in IMSA, reflecting the growing success of Ford's GT3 program beyond their factory entries. The team's presence adds to a multi-team Mustang GT3 effort in GTD that complements the factory Ford Multimatic Motorsports entries in GTD Pro, creating a comprehensive Ford GT3 presence across both GT classes at Sebring.

Customer teams like Myers Riley receive the same Mustang GT3 hardware as the factory entries, competing under the same Balance of Performance rules. The difference is in team infrastructure, driver lineup quality, and budget — all factors that separate competitive results across different levels of the same car.

The Car: Ford Mustang GT3

The Ford Mustang GT3 is America's GT3 ambassador — a car that brings the iconic pony car's name and heritage to the competitive GT3 class. The supercharged V8 front-engine layout is distinctively American in a field of European turbocharged competitors. Under the Balance of Performance system, the Mustang's output is equalized with its rivals, but its character — the sound, the driving feel, the visual presence — remains authentically American.

Having multiple Mustang GT3 teams in GTD creates competitive dynamics within the Ford camp: different setups, different strategies, different driving styles all applied to the same basic car. The fastest Mustang GT3 in GTD on race day will be determined by which team extracts the most performance from the same machine.

Felipe Fraga's Multi-Series Career

Felipe Fraga is one of those drivers who embodies modern racing's flexibility. Having competed in both NASCAR — America's most popular racing series, dominated by oval circuits at high speeds — and GT road racing requires different skill sets. NASCAR's close-quarters drafting and oval technique contrasts dramatically with GT3's technical circuit racing. Fraga's ability to perform across both disciplines makes him a versatile professional asset for Myers Riley Motorsports.

The Drivers

Jonathan Monk (Great Britain) is a British GT racing driver with European championship experience. British GT racers are among the most experienced and developed in the world — the UK's domestic GT3 championship is one of the most competitive, and drivers who graduate from it bring high technical standards to IMSA competition.

Felipe Fraga (Brazil) is a Brazilian racing driver who has competed in both NASCAR and GT racing — a crossover career that demonstrates serious professional breadth. Brazil has produced many great racing drivers across multiple disciplines, from Formula 1 legends like Ayrton Senna and Rubens Barrichello to modern GT racers like Fraga. His combination of NASCAR toughness and GT technical skill makes him a competitive professional anchor for the #16.

Jordan Missig (USA) is an American amateur driver completing the three-car team. His enthusiasm and investment in the program enable Myers Riley Motorsports to field a competitive Ford GT3 entry at Sebring, fulfilling the GTD class's core mission of making professional-level endurance racing accessible to passionate enthusiasts alongside career professionals.
