About the Team

Meyer Shank Racing was founded by Mike Shank and Jim Meyer, based in Pataskala, Ohio. The team has roots in IndyCar and IMSA that span more than two decades, building a reputation as a well-managed, highly professional operation that punches above its weight.

The partnership with Acura (Honda's performance division) provides full factory support. Acura's involvement in IMSA GTP is handled through HPD — Honda Performance Development — which co-developed the ARX-06 and provides engineering and technical backing.

Meyer Shank won the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona and has been a consistent GTP front-runner. The team previously had success with the Acura NSX in GTD Pro as well, showcasing their versatility across racing categories.

The Acura ARX-06

The Acura ARX-06 is an LMDh prototype jointly developed by Acura and HPD (Honda Performance Development). It uses a twin-turbocharged V6 engine paired with a hybrid system, producing the mandated 500+ horsepower output required by the LMDh regulations.

Like all LMDh cars, the ARX-06 is built on a common Multimatic/ORECA chassis, with Acura's powertrain, bodywork, and hybrid system. The car competes in IMSA as GTP, sharing the same rules framework with Porsche, Cadillac, and BMW.

Scott Dixon — Greatest Active American Racer

At 45, Scott Dixon remains one of the fastest prototype drivers in North America. His six IndyCar championships are the most in the series' history — more than anyone else has ever won. Adding four Rolex 24 wins to that resume makes him perhaps the most decorated active driver in American motorsport. His experience in endurance racing is priceless.

What is HPD?

HPD (Honda Performance Development) is Honda's American motorsport arm, based in Santa Clarita, California. HPD develops and supports Honda and Acura racing programs, including IndyCar engines, IMSA GTP machinery, and customer GT programs. They are the engineering brains behind the ARX-06.
